Ben Davis is the Chief of Policy of Permit Power. He is a policy expert and campaign manager with 15 years of experience tackling the United States’ biggest environmental and social challenges. Prior to launching Permit Power, he led campaigns to pass a series of pro-solar bills through the California legislature, updated California’s standards for new commercial construction to create a strong solar and storage mandate, and revamped the residential building code to allow for larger solar batteries. Previously, he orchestrated a successful nationwide social movement to shut down federal for-profit prisons and oversaw a 50-state campaign to make state governments more transparent.
